"ИГ Фарбен Индустри", кажется не ошибся в названии ?, почти не бомбили и о том, что "по странному стечению обстоятельств" многие ж/д, ведшие в лагеря смерти, например, из Нюрнберга в Освенцим, пощадили... Такие вот легенды. Интересно, а где правда ?

On August 12th, "John R. Jacobs reappeared in an Army private's uniform (he had been inducted the day before) to bring up another disagreeable matter: Standard had also, in league with Farben, restricted production of methanol, a wood alcohol that was sometimes used as motor fuel." (16)
The restriction against methanol production apparently did not apply to the Nazis, however. "As late as April 1943," Higham reveals, "General Motors in Stockholm [Sweden] was reported as trading with the enemy. . . . Further documents show that, as with Ford, repairs on German army trucks and conversion from gasoline to wood-gasoline production were being handled by GM in Switzerland." (17)

IBM is not the only US company to have profited by the Nazi regime. Most notably, as American University Professor Christopher Simpson pointed out in his book, "The Splendid Blond Beast: Money, Law and Genocide in the Twentieth Century," the German subsidiaries of both Ford and General Motors "made extensive use of forced labor... Buchenwald concentration camp supplied labor to GM's giant Russelheim plant... and to the Ford truck plant at Cologne."
Investment banker William Draper, vice president of Dillon Read, in the 1930s specialized in trading Nazi-era German corporate securities, meanwhile.
Commerce Department figures from the time showed that general US investment in Nazi-era Germany accelerated after 1933, when the Nazis seized power, with investments rising about 48.5 percent between 1929 and 1940, while falling from the rest of continental Europe.

THE UNITED STATES STRATEGIC BOMBING SURVEY
Summary Report
(European War)
September 30, 1945
...
In the last half of 1944 German truck production was attacked. Three plants produced most of Germany's truck supply. One of these, Opel at Brandenburg, was knocked out completely in one raid on August 6, 1944, and did not recover. Daimler Benz was similarly eliminated by attacks in September and October. Ford at Cologne, the third large producer, was not attacked but records show that production was sharply curtailed during the same period by destruction of component suppliers and the bombing of its power supply. By December of 1944, production of trucks was only about 35 percent of the average for the first half of 1944.
