В МИД России сегодня расценили последние события на Ближнем Востоке как "начало масштабных регулярных операций израильских вооруженных сил против Палестинской национальной автономии с применением самых современных средств ведения войны".
Как подчеркивалось в сообщении МИД, в Москве считают "явно неадекватным применение Израилем военной силы", которое нельзя "ничем оправдать и объяснить".

But as you know, the situation in Chechnya, as far as human rights are concerned, is a source of grave concern to the European Parliament. We believe that most of the undertakings given by Moscow, whether in the context of its joining the Council of Europe, or of its partnership and cooperation agreements with the European Union, have not been kept.
In all of our countries, the moral indignation felt is all the greater because this tragedy is unfolding behind closed doors, with neither humanitarian organisations nor the international press being allowed into Chechnya.
Although the Russian authorities continue to believe that the Chechnyan conflict is an internal affair, and for that reason, exclude any foreign intervention and reject all pressure from abroad, it is in Russia's political and moral interests to give up the illusion of a purely military strategy.
