Since 1989 the museum accommodated in the Villa Lindenhof is
Erwin Rommel (1891-1944), which general field marshal and commander in chief of the German Africa corps in the Second World War, dedicated, which was forced here in Herrlingen under the suspicion of a participation in the conspiracy from 20 July von Hitler to the
suicide. To the stock diaries and the correspondence Rommels, cards
and plans from its possession belong (particularly over the North
African theater 1941-1943) as well as writing and picture documents to its Biographie and the time-historical background.

To history: 1986 placed Lucie Schachne, formerly a pupil in Herrlingen, at the place of its earlier school their book with the title: " education to the mental resistance the Jewish land boarding school Herrlingen. 1933 - 39 " of the public forwards. Up to then in Herrlingen the memory of general field marshal Erwin Rommel had been maintained, while the history of several remarkable educational mechanisms was forgotten since 1912 - all of Jewish educators and above all educators cared for -.
