Здесь написано не совсем то что вы утверждаете. И все свалено в одну кучу.
Да, личный автомобиль был игрушкой для богатых, да военых интересовал мобрезерв автомобилий, поэтому они лоббировали производство тяжелых грузовиков (бизнесу они не нужны).
Но в 1905 в Париже и Лондоне работали такси....
