The dead body of Mahmoud Sabatin, who had received a life sentence for collaborating with Israel, lays near the Church of the Nativity at Manger Square 14 March 2002 in the West Bank city of Bethlehem. Two Palestinian men sentenced for collaborating with Israel by the Palestinian Authority were shot dead by armed Palestinians, not affiliated with Palestinian security. Sabatin was sentenced for his help in the October killing in a mysterious car blast of Fatah commander Atef Abayat who was sought by Israel in connection with the murder of a Jewish settler in Bethlehem.
