Delaying actions were planned to be executed in an active manner, and any passive defense was thought to be only temporary, to which you had to be resort in preparing an offense. After all, offense was thought to be the best defense.
Нет траншейной войне, мощная атака в нужное время в нужном месте, если и случиться обороне, то только как подготовке к наступлению, каковая и есть лучшая оборона.
