Вот такое вот письмишко, просьба, кому нетрудно, разослать далее. Один из подписавшихся, Андрей Кутателадзе(он, собственно, мне и прислал), был моим командиром в строяке, народ с Химфака МГУ(78-91гг) должен его знать. Может быть, кто-то знает и других двух. Это просто на случай, если вдруг будут мысли о "панаме".
Dear Friends,
This message is in response to the tragic events in Moscow. Many of us living in the US wanted to help the families of those who were killed or have to stay in the hospitals, and also to help actors and supporting staff of Nord-Ost who are currently without job. The Nord-Ost personnel lead by Ivashenko and Vasiliev had set up an account for direct donations in US dollars. The money will be distributed by Nord-Ost team, and there is no doubt that the donations will be distributed fairly. Regardless of whether you decide to donate or not, please distribute this message to people whom you know. We ask you to do this asap to quickly help the people who suffered more that one can imagine. The information about the account can be found at www.nord-ost.ru (the information there is available in Russian and in English).
It turns out, however, that individual wire transfers to Russia are rather ineffective as the fee for the transfer is in the range $30-40, independent of the amount. We therefore suggest to those who are interested another path. One of us has opened a special savings account with the University of Wisconsin Credit Union. You can send a check or wire transfer to this account. The money (including all possible interest accumulated minus the bank fees and taxes on interest) will be periodically (probably once a week) sent to Moscow. The account will be closed on Dec. 21. If you prefer to do it this way, pls send the check to:
