Belarus displays new weaponry

A prototype of the unmanned version of Tetraedr's A3 (Anti-air, Anti-armour, Anti-terrorism) multipurpose towed gun/missile system made its delayed debut on 21 October, the final day of the Belarus Armed Forces 'Autumn 2008' exercise, which began on on 15 October.

Originally due to be shown at the Eurosatory 2008 exhibition in June 2008, the system was presented in a display area close to the firing range command post of the 174th firing range of the Air Force and Air Defence in Domanovo, where it was inspected by Belarus President Alexander Lukaschenko and other VIP guests. It was armed with four Shturm anti-tank missiles and four Igla surface-to-air missiles.

An alternative tracked version is based on a slightly modified version of the GM-352M1E chassis, which was originally developed by MTZ (Minskiy Traktorniy Zavod) for the Russian Pantsir-S1E system.

A3 units are intended to defend civil, industrial and military assets against air and ground threats ranging from fixed- and rotary-wing aircraft, cruise missiles, air-to-surface missiles and guided bombs to infantry fighting vehicles and armoured personnel carriers.

Also on show were three components of Tetraedr's S-125-2TM upgraded version of the S-125 (SA-3 'Goa') surface-to-air missile systems. These were the upgraded and improved UNV-2TM missile guidance radar, the 5P73-2TM upgraded launcher and the new UNK-2TM command-and-control vehicle.

The final new product shown was a self-propelled transporter-erector launcher for the K300P Bastion-P coastal anti-ship missile system. Based on a heavy wheeled chassis from the MZKT-7930 family, it was displayed by Tekhnosoyuzproyekt of Belarus.

В общем, как оказалось, этот А3 - банальная навороченная комбинированная турель под "Штурмы" и "Иглы".

Чего же "банальная" турель?
Это сейчас называют универсальный боевой модуль, или как то еще более модно.

Да, белорусы сделали для этого "эректора" не только шасси (МЗКТ), но и силовую гидравлику с электрикой (минский "Техносоюзпроект"), так что это фактически целиком белорусская ПУ для русских КР.

...Когда сие изделие демонстрировали Батьке в рамках осенних маневров.

"Бастион-П" значит "подвижный", есть еще проект "Бастион-С" -- "стационарный" (-)
